PYT Media

Hello there bloggins:

This is a fashion/music site made by the hot and tall siblings Stephens.

You're worried about their credibility you say? Well, one is a boy with long hair. One is a runway model.

I especially enjoy listening + downloading from the music section. There are a couple of tracks from the upcoming TI album, which are astonishingly good.

So check it out and go back again and again.

Part 3 FRANCY PANTS

As a result of my procrastinating these last two euro posts just are going to be as wonderful as I wanted.

After leaving Helsinki we made our way to Paris. I have been to Paris before, and upon returning I still think it is the most beautiful city (or least city centerish area) that I've ever been (Sorry Manchester). We met up with none other than my parents under the Eiffel Tower. It's refreshing to be in a foreign land and meet up with people who know their way around better than you, like my parents. Notice how my Dad is in total tourist-mode, yet still looks classy as ever. I only had two days in France this time, because I left everyone and went up to my old stomping grounds in Manchester. We went to a couple of places in Normandy. If you ever end up going there just go to the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial and not the little museum where you learn about the docks the English made, which i can't remember what it's called... Seeing the 9,000+ graves and the ages of the men reminded me that I really don't know anything about war and sacrifice in the comforts of Provo.

Oh yeah! and we saw my secret long lost brother. He was a lot older than me. But he had the same hair and glasses. It was sooooo weird. Anyway, my br0-in-law has a better pic of him. I still need to get it.

¡FUNDRAISER!

Hey if you're in Provo tomorrow (Friday) night I suggest you come to a fundraiser. It's being put on by my friend Trent Mano, as seen above on roller skates.

"Hey everyone. I really hope that everyone supports this.

In 2006, Sandra Anderson got in a sledding accident that paralyzed her from the neck down. She had just finished her first semester at USU. Since then, she has been in large part confined to her house because of the expenses of wheelchair accessible vans.

The purpose of this dinner and other fundraisers is to help her raise money to buy a wheelchair accessible van.

Tickets for the dinner are $5. Please come support and bring extra money for raffle tickets which will be on sale at the dinner."

So you should come.
7:30 – 9:00 PM
56 South 500 East
The Provo.

There should be some other goods/service you can buy including participating in a spoon-train so bring some extra monies.

I feel like Rockwell.

So right now there are a whole bunch of kids from my ward outside watching a movie being projected onto our house. The only problem is that it's being projected right next to the bathroom window. I want to walk into the bathroom, turn on the light and get to business on the toilet, which is right next the window. You know how bathroom windows usually are blurry, so in theory you can't really see what's going on inside? Well I think that only applies to the daytime when a lighted window doesn't stick out so much—and when there aren't 12 people right outside the window.

I guess I'll just wait.

Mr. 45 himself

This week I got a phone call from my old friend Colt Bowden. You may recognize him from your dreams. If Provo is lucky he may move down to study graphic design or something at BYU.

Here are some fun facts about Colt:

Colt used to have a methmagician as a neighbor.
Colt was in a skate video once.
Colt has spoken with Brodie Bruce from Mallrats.
Colt is almost as down with Yo Gabba Gabba as Biz Markie himself.
Colt painted Sammy's Burger joint in Provo, UT.
Colt is very clever. Read about his adventures and art on his blog. I like his 18th post.

Also, if you're ever looking for a wicked playlist just click on Regan's hypem page. I do it all the time.

Part 2 HELSINKI/TALLINN

Helsinki was the next stop. It is a smaller place than I thought with only about 560,000 people living there. I was surprised about how many people speak English in Helsinki, even the lowly McDonald's employees.

My brother Nelson is living in Helsinki for the rest of the summer, which is kind of why we went. He's staying the couch of his comrade Heikki Sorsa, who—if you don't know—is a professional snowboarder, and when I say professional snowboarder I mean it
BIG TIME. Google him, I dare you.

The Architecture in Helsinki is overrated.

We stayed in a hotel in Helsinki. It was like we were in the future—not Japanese-futurish, but the future nonetheless. This is my brother in the bathroom. I tried to spy him, but it wasn't all that effective.

We took a ferry to a secret Finnish Island with treasure!!!

The Baltic Sea.Me in the Baltic Sea.

I wanted to take a closer look of the Baltic. Despite my finesse, I slipped and slid and SPLASH. Upon me falling in my brother was frantically looking for my camera as I was frantically trying to get out. He was worried I was carrying it. He wasn't worried in the "Oh no! Rory's camera is ruined" sense, but rather the "Oh no! Rory fell in with his camera so I can't take a picture of him trying to get out of the water" sense. This wasn't a proper beach where I could just stand up and walk out. This was more like the underwater-cliff-type beach. So I just floated there with my heavy shoes sheepishly wrestling the sea moss. In the end my brother-in-law had to pull me out just in time for Nelson to find my camera and take this photo. Priceless.

PS—Finland has good meatballs.

Part 1 LONDON

Okay I'm going to try to break up my Euro trip into four blog entries for your convenience:
This is me in London. London is a very hip place with lots of fit birds. I enjoyed that. I went with my brother, sisters, and bro in law. Upon reviewing my photos, you may realize that I don't really have any of all of us together. The reason being is that when we were all together everyone else was taking pictures so I figured I didn't need to take any. However, I do have a lot of me an my brother off on our own. Anyway...

St. Paul's Cathedral.

My favorite places were The British Museum and The Tate Modern:

GREETINGS from MANCHESTER.

I feel like I've been doing too much traveling these last few days and it's wearing on me. I'll fill you in later with more details and pics; for now it's sufficient to say I've had a goooooooood time.

Yesterday I was at my favorite mission area, Shrewsbury. I think the members of the ward thought it was kind of weird that I had a beard and longish hair because when I was there (almost five years ago) I had nearly buzzed head and contact lenses most of the time. Not to mention I looked like I was 12. It was great to see everyone again, I got several invites for tea and was able to visit several families in their homes.
Seriously it was great.

I'm in a hostel in Manchester. I wouldn't describe Manchester as the most tourist-friendly city in the world--especially after just being in London and Paris. Last night I was the only one in my room; it was just a lot of empty beds and me so basically I danced with my shirt off all night just like I do in my own room--only with no ipod because it drowned and died in London (I dance to the rhythm of the night). As of right now it looks like I'll be alone again in my room--hopefully.

I'll be back on Thursday.

I may get to bloggins a little while out here. Europe is wonderful. I can't express how happy I am to be in England again. London is cool; big city you're a wishing well. As you may know the Euro 2008 tournament is going on. Spain beat Russia 3-0. It was cool to see how the Spanish population in London celebrated in Picadilly despite the rain.

Dear Bloggins:
School is out for 2.5 months. Bittersweet.
I made some books.
I am leaving to Europe (London, Helsinki, Estonia, Paris, Normandy, Manchester, Shrewsbury, Barrow-In-Furnace, Blackstool) for 2 weeks this Wednesday.
Gonna spend some £'s and €'s
Excited to meet up with influential mission friends/companions I haven't seen for over four years.
The Euro 2008 tournament is thoroughly entertaining. GO SPAIN.
I'm growing a red beard. It is debonair and itchy.
I love Ira Glass.

I'll be missing Hannah and Robbie's wedding :(
Dane is a tool.
I'll be missing two RSL games :(
CarMicNel took the LSAT.
The new Girl Talk album makes me want to dance with my shirt off—twice. Hurts so good.

The mere fact that that Shia LaBeouf is in the new Indiana Jones movie makes me not want to pay full price to see it. A matinée or dollar screening yes, but definitely not full price.
I hope that everything Indian Jones stands for is not ruined by his presence.

You know how we like to deify dead celebrities? Well I wish we could go back in time and get River to play Shia's role. I'm just saying.

I think if I had to make one stereotype about members of my religion I would chose to say that the men ages 18–30 generally have bad sideburns. I don't know why that is.

BFA Porto

Here's some of my work for my BFA application. It's such a great feeling to work a long time on something and finally have it printed and tangible.

It's funny how we've have been up until the late hours of the morning working on our projects in hopes of having two more years of stress and late nights (at school at least). I've greatly enjoyed working with my friends/classmates/potential lovers Regan, Colin, and Manasseh. I REALLY hope we're ALL accepted together.
