¡FUNDRAISER!

Hey if you're in Provo tomorrow (Friday) night I suggest you come to a fundraiser. It's being put on by my friend Trent Mano, as seen above on roller skates.

"Hey everyone. I really hope that everyone supports this.

In 2006, Sandra Anderson got in a sledding accident that paralyzed her from the neck down. She had just finished her first semester at USU. Since then, she has been in large part confined to her house because of the expenses of wheelchair accessible vans.

The purpose of this dinner and other fundraisers is to help her raise money to buy a wheelchair accessible van.

Tickets for the dinner are $5. Please come support and bring extra money for raffle tickets which will be on sale at the dinner."

So you should come.
7:30 – 9:00 PM
56 South 500 East
The Provo.

There should be some other goods/service you can buy including participating in a spoon-train so bring some extra monies.

I feel like Rockwell.

So right now there are a whole bunch of kids from my ward outside watching a movie being projected onto our house. The only problem is that it's being projected right next to the bathroom window. I want to walk into the bathroom, turn on the light and get to business on the toilet, which is right next the window. You know how bathroom windows usually are blurry, so in theory you can't really see what's going on inside? Well I think that only applies to the daytime when a lighted window doesn't stick out so much—and when there aren't 12 people right outside the window.

I guess I'll just wait.

Mr. 45 himself

This week I got a phone call from my old friend Colt Bowden. You may recognize him from your dreams. If Provo is lucky he may move down to study graphic design or something at BYU.

Here are some fun facts about Colt:

Colt used to have a methmagician as a neighbor.
Colt was in a skate video once.
Colt has spoken with Brodie Bruce from Mallrats.
Colt is almost as down with Yo Gabba Gabba as Biz Markie himself.
Colt painted Sammy's Burger joint in Provo, UT.
Colt is very clever. Read about his adventures and art on his blog. I like his 18th post.

Also, if you're ever looking for a wicked playlist just click on Regan's hypem page. I do it all the time.

Part 2 HELSINKI/TALLINN

Helsinki was the next stop. It is a smaller place than I thought with only about 560,000 people living there. I was surprised about how many people speak English in Helsinki, even the lowly McDonald's employees.

My brother Nelson is living in Helsinki for the rest of the summer, which is kind of why we went. He's staying the couch of his comrade Heikki Sorsa, who—if you don't know—is a professional snowboarder, and when I say professional snowboarder I mean it
BIG TIME. Google him, I dare you.

The Architecture in Helsinki is overrated.

We stayed in a hotel in Helsinki. It was like we were in the future—not Japanese-futurish, but the future nonetheless. This is my brother in the bathroom. I tried to spy him, but it wasn't all that effective.

We took a ferry to a secret Finnish Island with treasure!!!

The Baltic Sea.Me in the Baltic Sea.

I wanted to take a closer look of the Baltic. Despite my finesse, I slipped and slid and SPLASH. Upon me falling in my brother was frantically looking for my camera as I was frantically trying to get out. He was worried I was carrying it. He wasn't worried in the "Oh no! Rory's camera is ruined" sense, but rather the "Oh no! Rory fell in with his camera so I can't take a picture of him trying to get out of the water" sense. This wasn't a proper beach where I could just stand up and walk out. This was more like the underwater-cliff-type beach. So I just floated there with my heavy shoes sheepishly wrestling the sea moss. In the end my brother-in-law had to pull me out just in time for Nelson to find my camera and take this photo. Priceless.

PS—Finland has good meatballs.

Part 1 LONDON

Okay I'm going to try to break up my Euro trip into four blog entries for your convenience:
This is me in London. London is a very hip place with lots of fit birds. I enjoyed that. I went with my brother, sisters, and bro in law. Upon reviewing my photos, you may realize that I don't really have any of all of us together. The reason being is that when we were all together everyone else was taking pictures so I figured I didn't need to take any. However, I do have a lot of me an my brother off on our own. Anyway...

St. Paul's Cathedral.

My favorite places were The British Museum and The Tate Modern:

GREETINGS from MANCHESTER.

I feel like I've been doing too much traveling these last few days and it's wearing on me. I'll fill you in later with more details and pics; for now it's sufficient to say I've had a goooooooood time.

Yesterday I was at my favorite mission area, Shrewsbury. I think the members of the ward thought it was kind of weird that I had a beard and longish hair because when I was there (almost five years ago) I had nearly buzzed head and contact lenses most of the time. Not to mention I looked like I was 12. It was great to see everyone again, I got several invites for tea and was able to visit several families in their homes.
Seriously it was great.

I'm in a hostel in Manchester. I wouldn't describe Manchester as the most tourist-friendly city in the world--especially after just being in London and Paris. Last night I was the only one in my room; it was just a lot of empty beds and me so basically I danced with my shirt off all night just like I do in my own room--only with no ipod because it drowned and died in London (I dance to the rhythm of the night). As of right now it looks like I'll be alone again in my room--hopefully.

I'll be back on Thursday.
